As an Eligibility Specialist, you will be a pivotal force in ensuring access to necessary healthcare services for all our patients by channeling their needs through the appropriate reimbursement pathways. Located in the bustling Legacy Northline Irvington Clinic (3517 Irvington Blvd.), this position offers you the chance to engage directly with patients and optimize their healthcare journeys, all within a vibrant and supportive environment. Your fluency in both English and Spanish will amplify your ability to serve our diverse community, making healthcare both accessible and equitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine patient eligibility for diverse third-party reimbursements, ensuring seamless pathways to care.
  • Efficiently admit new patients into the CPCDMS while ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed.
  • Set the stage for a positive patient experience by scheduling initial service appointments post-eligibility determination.
  • Ensure precision in insurance billing through proper coding practices, contributing to financial sustainability.
  • Act as the first point of contact, adeptly handling inquiries from prospective applicants and patients.
  • Commit to continuous professional development by attending all required safety and annual educational programs.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, demonstrating foundational academic competence.
  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in Medical Billing, highlighting your proficiency in the field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base.
  • Familiarity with ICD-A or CPT codes is preferred, showcasing your coding proficiency and attention to detail.
